“Give the Mp3 player to Amy,” Officer Day told Zoe.

“What? Why?” said Zoe.

“Because Amy is the real owner of it.”

“How can you tell?” said Zoe.

“Because Amy cares for the player more than you. She was going to give it to you so that it didn’t break in half.”

“But…” said Zoe.

“No buts. That’s the power of the chalk circle.”

I read The Chalk Circle. It was not interesting story well. A girl had the Mp3 stolen her friends. So they argued “it’s mine,” each other. Um, finally officer admonished Zoe, and Zoe said “sorry” to Amy. I chose this book at random, I didn’t like this illustration.
